A cheerful, interactive program for parent & child together: a combination of seeing, listening, doing, and experiencing.
These Dutch lessons are specially designed for children along with their parents. Learn Dutch together in a playful manner at the online Dutchclub. Each theme focuses on expanding basic vocabulary and gaining more confidence in speaking Dutch by actively practicing together. Video lessons are combined with games and activities for home. Additionally, you can meet other parents and children (online) who are also new to Dutch

Teacher Jes's lesson (de les van juf Jes)

Each theme lesson comes with a video 'De les van juf Jes'. By working with Teacher Jes and her big friend Bobbie, you will learn many new Dutch words. Below is a compilation of several theme lessons to get an impression of 'De les van juf Jes'.

Theme materials

For each theme lesson, various activities and materials have been developed to practice the theme words together in a playful way. Each theme includes a song, a set of word cards, a couple of games, a creative task, and various assignments. The goal is to actively engage with the words in an enjoyable manner to gain more confidence in speaking Dutch.

Target audience

The Dutchclubonline is specifically designed for beginners in the Dutch language to expand their basic vocabulary and gain more confidence in speaking Dutch. The 'Basiswoordenlijst Amsterdamse kleuters' (BAK-list) serves as the starting point. The lessons are intended for parents and young children (approximately 3-8 years old) who are starting to learn Dutch. 

Background information

The Dutchclub has been supporting students with Dutch as a second language for over 10 years. Learning with joy to expand the basic vocabulary and increase confidence in speaking is always the starting point. Students can also be supported in reading comprehension or Dutch mathematical language, both at schools and at our own location.

Equal opportunities

The Dutchclubonline has been developed with the support of 'Tel mee met Taal' and has thereby reached 40 families through subsidies. Our dream is to make the Dutchclub theme lessons accessible to all families, which is why we donate access to the Dutchclubonline to a family with insufficient financial means for every 10 lesson packages purchased. 

Sponsoring

It is possible to sponsor a family with a Dutchclubonline lesson series. We are happy to brainstorm with you to ensure that everyone can participate. Therefore, we collaborate with schools, 'stichting Leergeld', and other organizations to reach children whose parents cannot afford it themselves. Please contact us via dutchclub@basisclub.nl for information and donation.
